Internship - Defense Contracting

Highly motivated University senior looking for an internship with a company specializing in defense contracting. I am interested in contracts and government relations, and though I do not have much experience, I am extremely interested in the subject and motivated to learn more.

Note
nice GPA, keep up the good work!
Note
This is really impressive and will be your biggest selling point. I like you list "office of lynne cheney"/
Note
Remove this item to make room for the bottom of your resume. Four work items will suffice
Note
I agree, date/location alignment needs to be flushed right

Improve your skills section language is always good for contractor positions. Add more computer skills.

Overall great layout. Education section feels slightly cluttered. Watch for consistency in your bullet size - I think that's a Word 08 issue.

Watch alignment of places and dates on the right side as well

Cjohann, overall you have a very solid resume. First thing, you need to keep it to one page! It looks sloppy to have two. Additionally, what's your strategy for approaching the Defense Contracting job market? I suggest using your alumni network GW heavily as many alum stay in DC in those positions. See additional comments. Good luck with your search!

In response to samb, you had posted for me to take off the last job. I was keeping it on there to show potential for longevity at a job, since I was there for numerous years. With the rest of my resume, you don't think that this is necessary? And thank you for your comments, they are much appreciated and will be implemented shortly. If I have not had experience in the defense contracting sector, how could I tweak my resume to cater to this, or is it really not possible to do that?

I suggest taking off the least relevant position on your resume to fit everything in one page. I think you have a solid amount of experience for an '09 grad and know a few recruiters in defense contracting in the DC-area. If you're interested, upload your second draft email us at contact[at]razume.com
