Add to this section as much as possible. Stat applications and programming skills are very good. Try to add financial applications such as Bloomberg and cash flow modeling software if you get the chance.
I suggest removing the objective. It doesnt add value unless youre send your resume blindly to many organizations--which is never a good strategy.
You have great academic experience. Keep it up.
List your GPA if greater than 3.0 in-major or cumulative.

Pretty sure it's "Orstein-Uhlenbeck" not Ulenbeck
Mathew, you have some great skills and academic experience to be come a financial engineer. However, you may need to get an internship in finance to gain more traction in that area. With my current profession, I am exposed to cash flow/financial modeling, so I can tell you more or less what's important. Having finance experience is important, but I also work with many individuals with an engineering background. See my suggestions and best of luck.

Thanks for you help Big4. I am also taking the CFA Level 1 exam in Dec. Do you think this has any place on the resume?
For CFA Level 1, if you pass, most certainly include this information on your resume. If you are just sitting for the exam, I would discuss during your interviews, but would not disclose this information on your resume. My logic: sitting for the exam shows ambition, but your resume should list quantifiable accomplishments that set you apart. Listing aspirations should not be part of your strategy.
Thanks for your advice Big4! its been a real help :-)

I think the layout of this resume is of a little imbalance. Can you move the content of the right blocks a little left. I think that will be better-looking. As a whole, your resume looks neat. Thank you for sharing this.

Job seeker should refrain from 1st person references and should add a qualifications summary at the top of the resume -- full of keywords from job descriptions of his/her targeted jobs.
