Note
Keep the date consistent. It will help with the format flow. Consider "2002-2006" instead for all date formats.
Note
I dont feel this section adds much to your resume at this stage. if you do keep it, consider dropping less relevant courses.
Note
I personally think you should save this for the interviews. It makes your resume look more professional overall.
Note
Great work with your descriptions. I suggest quantifying your experience more if youd like. Its highly important for finance/consulting jobs.
Note
More numbers to describe your experience. They stand out better for recruiters in finance/consulting.
Note
Consider removing this item as well, again great for interviews.
Note
Change to "Work Experience"
Note
Try keeping your dates consistent throughout the document...ie Jan 05 - Sept 06
Note
Move education underneath work experience. And while your GPA is impressive, one decimal is more than sufficient - 3.7.
Note
remove the colon. it does nothing for you.
Note
In finance, attention to detail is by far and away the most important thing. As is consistency.I would remove all of the punctuation from this work experiene, as there isnt any in the rest of your resume.
Note
Change heading to "Work Experience"
Note
Nicely worded!
Note
Save that comment for the interview. Doesnt add much to the written resume.
Note
Unless you are actively managing your own portfolio, I would remove this. You can talk about your interest in the equity markets in the interview... as that will come up if you are interviewing at a hedge fund.
Note
Gained first hand exposure to the financial and economic environment in China by:

Note
remove class of if your graduation date is may 2006, just list may 2006 or even 2006.
Note
remove position, place position first. i.e. Analyst - Consulting and M&A Services
Note
spell out top-five

Note

Note
remove portfolio management, keep professional interests separate.

Great point, move Education down now that you've graduated. Also change "experience" to "Work Experience". Best of luck.

I like it. Great base resume, but a few suggestions to make it more polished. If you are looking for a NY hedge fund experience, reach out to your networks. D

A few formatting notes; see picture. Also do not capitalize course titles, and narrow the list of course titles to a select few of most interest to you and relevant to the position. Are your interests in motocross, karate, soccer, etc relevant to the position... if not, then don't include them.
