I am currently in between my freshmand and sophomore years of college. I am interested in applying for government internships next summer that have deadlines this fall so I want to get started now. Any tips/comments would be greatly appreciated.

Id take our "a potential" and just ahve "with a double major in Math and Poli Sci". Majors and degrees are expected anyone. Saying potential makes you sound less credible.

Consider adding a skills section and shortening the Awards/service sections. See top resumes for examples of skills.
Note
Consider removing AP scores, you dont want high school information on your resume at this stage.

Andrassy, I like what you've done so far. Any more information you can provide about the type of Gov't internship you're looking to get? Specific agencies would be helpful when providing feedback. Few comments, but overall good. Make sure to help your friends out by sharing your resume writing knowledge.
