A design tip; in the media industry fonts with serifs are usually not meant to be read (Theyre saved for headlines, labels, etc) A sans serif font encourages reading. Try Arial, Helvetica, or Calibri.

Participant doesnt say much. Did you win any type of recognition? If so say it. If not, maybe you can leave this item off the resume. Also, what does "graded swimmer" mean? What will it mean to an employer? You may want to leave this off also.

Your resume is clean and professional. It gives employers a good reason to take a closer look, and you have a great education record to back it up. If you have more experience, include that, and eliminate some of the unrelated items. Keep your resume to one page as you have done. It looks great!
